Who processes your data

Personal data collected on this website is processed by Auto MarAzul, Lda (Alvor Car Hire), registered at R. Marquês de Pombal 23A, 8500-021 Alvor, Portugal, acting as data controller.

What data we collect

Identification and contact details you provide in the booking request and contact forms: name, email, phone, address, city, postal code, country, driver age bracket and, where applicable, flight number and observations.

Details of the rental requested: pickup and dropoff locations and dates, and the vehicle chosen.

Technical browsing data collected through cookies and audience measurement tools, as described below.

Why we use your data

To answer information and booking requests and to manage the rental agreement (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps).

To comply with legal obligations, in particular tax obligations and identification of the driver to the authorities.

To improve the website and measure its use, based on your consent where non-essential cookies are used.

How long we keep it

Contact requests are kept for 2 years from the last contact.

Data relating to rental agreements is kept for the applicable legal periods, namely 10 years for tax purposes.

Who we share it with

With service providers acting on our behalf, such as web hosting, email services and payment processing, always under a data processing agreement.

With insurers and competent authorities, where necessary to perform the contract or required by law.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

International transfers

Whenever a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work, namely to keep your session and your chosen language.
